Eagle Watching

This has been the longest winter I can remember for quite a few years now. We have passed some of the time by enjoying the many eagles we have in the area. These pics were taken at the Cannon Dam at Mark Twain Lake just a couple of weeks ago. We have counted as many as 7 or 8 at one time around the dam. Unfortunately, a couple of eagles have also been spotted perched in the tree above my chicken coop! It's neat to see them out your back door but maybe that is a little too close for comfort. lol

Bo

Bo will be a month old tomorrow. They grow up so fast :'( He is an absolute joy and we are so blessed to have him. He loves scratches and comes right up to to get them as soon as he sees us. He does give his poor mama a rough time though. lol Bo is for sale for $500, a $100 deposit will hold him until he is ready for weaning.

Our Breeding Rams

Here's a pic of our three breeding rams. Magnum, Angus and Bravo. It won't be long now and it will be time for them to go to work. Right now they are very content and all three get along will with each other.

My Birthday Present

Yesterday was my birthday and our miniature donkey, Pearl, gave me the best present ever, a healthy little baby boy! Isn't he the cutest?!

Country Road, Take Me Home (or to the sheep)

Matthew and I took a walk down a country road this morning to visit the sheep and goats. It is a beautiful day here and we just couldn't stand to be in the house any longer!

Mary and Sunny

Today I was able to sit and spend some time with my dear friends, Mary and Sunny. Mary is a registered Shetland ewe and Sunny is a registered Kinder doe. Both enjoy lots of chin scratches and attention.
